Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, 1952. Educated St. Felix, Southwold, Suffolk (1962-69) and Chichester College, Sussex (1970-73). Lincoln College of Art & Design (1985-87).

Rosemary Cook worked for many years as a conservator and restorer of the decorative arts. Since returning to live and work in Suffolk in 1992 she has been able to translate the skills used in restoration into her sculpture of animals and people.

The essence of her work is to capture the immediate spark of liveliness in her subject and to portray their true spirit. Her style is impressionistic and unsentimental.

Limited editions of her works are cast in bronze, or in a range of metal resin bronze, copper and iron.
