Reshma Govindjee was born in 1979 in Lisbon. She moved to London in 1995 where she attended the prestigious London College of Fashion and the world renowned Central Saint Martins College of Art nd Design.
Her work is inspired by her multicultural upbringing.
Reshma works in a variety of mediums in a rapid energetic style. Her most recent collection explores the female form; the style of the nudes appearing sculpted by brush.
Reshma has taught art to orphans in India, offenders at a British women's prison and uses art as therapy for mentally ill patients. Her passion for art is matched only by her love for teaching the subject. Her time is divided between her studstudio and the classroom. |
