Drawing inspiration from the scenery in Cheshire, Sam paints the ever-changing woodland landscape around her with varying degrees of representation and abstraction. And when painting in her house down by the sea, where an estuary runs through the bottom of the garden, sandy beaches and craggy bays find their way into her canvases. Sam's love for drawing is deep-rooted and can often be seen beneath her muted palette.
