Having studied in London at the City and Guilds, Annabel subsequently completed a BA Hons degree at Chelsea School of Art (Graphics & Illustration) followed by a year at L’Ècole des Beaux Arts in Paris. Whether in Tuscany, Provence, Cornwall or the Cotswolds, Annabel’s paintings are often begun en plein air in order to accurately capture the light, colour and form after which she returns to her studio to complete all elements of the picture. She has exhibited in a number of shows in London, Edinburgh, East Anglia and the Cotswolds.
'I love the shapes, patterns and, above all, colour found in nature. I am always seeing potential paintings both inside and out, whether it’s the complexity of a seemingly simple vase of flowers and the shadows created by artificial light or the challenges of a landscape with its colours, form and shadows. I see a new painting everywhere!'
