Lily Marsh

Lily graduated from the City and Guilds of London Art School in 2020, where she studied historic stone carving, figurative modelling, and drawing. During her studies, she won several prizes, including The Brinsley-Ford Rome drawing award, where she travelled to Rome to study classical sculpture and create a drawing portfolio. Lily is a QEST Scholar and an alumnus of the Kings Foundation. She continues to teach stone carving and sculpting to students both in the UK and internationally.

Lily started her career in stone, after being trained as a heritage stonemason, where she worked on restoration projects across the UK and in London.

‘I’ve always found a freedom in drawing and sketching, whether on paper, in stone or in wax. My classical training underpins a freedom of expression, which evokes a sense of compassion, movement and feeling for life in the work I create’.
