Bob Aldous resides in West London and works from a studio in Kingston-upon-Thames. He studied at Ravensbourne College of Art, Goldsmiths College and the University of East Anglia where he gained a distinction in a Masters in Creative Entrepreneurship. 

Aldous worked in the interior design industry for many years as a muralist. Commissions include the Royal Albert Hall, the Savoy Theatre, Selfridges and Inn on the Park Hotel, Park Lane. In 2010, he began experimenting with silk as a painting support – initially taking inspiration from Chinese brush painting and later introducing colour, first with inks and watercolour and more recently with natural dyes. 

Aldous' work is in collections within the corporate sector: The Ashurst Art Collection and the Corporate Art Collection for Numis. Further commissions include: 20 Grosvenor Square, The Old War Office and the Sterling Suite at the Langham Hotel.
