David Hunt (b. 1974) lives and works near Canterbury in Kent with his family. After graduating from university, he worked for many years as a cabinet maker and joiner before turning to art six years ago. A life long fascination with the natural world led David to take up drawing as a way of further studying and recording the creatures he observes and learning more about them. A self-taught artist, he creates very detailed drawings in graphite on a white gessoed panel allowing him to capture the intricate details and forms of the animals he studies. David’s work has been shown regularly at the Mall Galleries both as a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year competition and with the Society Of Wildlife Artists annual open exhibition.
