Helen Lloyd-Elliott

Landscape painter, Helen Lloyd-Elliott works from her studio in Dorset where she records the agricultural landscape in both her sketch books, and her memory. Primarily, she is interested by humankind’s footprint alongside the patterns and shapes nature leaves in its wake. Wild ancient oaks, plough-forged furrows across sweeping fields, the hard lines of buildings – these (and more) are incorporated in her work.

In 2023, Helen's son secretly submittted one of his mother's landscape paintings into Sky Arts' Landscape Artist of the Year, and she ended up becoming one of their finalists.
