Adriana Zaefferer

Adriana Zaefferer (1952), Argentinian.

In spite of not having any training, Zaefferer is a self taught artist. She uses many mediums including oil, charcoal, pencil and clay. At the outset of her career as an artist, she concentrated on paintings of horses capturing in paper the individual characteristics of the animal, observing the anatomy, the colour and lustre of the horses' coats, and their graceful movement.

Zaefferer's subject matters range from horse racing, polo to subject matters closer to home - Patagonian Goucho's herding their horses.

Zaefferer exhibits regularly in Argentina, England and the United States. Her galleries include Stream, Wildenstein London, Wildenstein New York, Zurbaran, Cricket Fine Art, Moorland Gallery and the Aid.
