    NEWSLETTER - 15th February 2021 The Venus of Willendorf is believed to be the earliest depiction of the female nude (circa 30,000 - 25,000 BC). Standing a little over 11cm tall, and made of oolitic limestone (small spheres called ooiliths are stuck together by lime mud) the figurine is one of the smallest nudes in existence.
