Ann Shrager's medium is oil paint which, once diluted with turps, behaves like watercolour. She draws her composition first and if it fails she will then paint a different painting on top; this means that there can sometimes be as many as four paintings - one on top of the other.
Having studied at both the Byam Shaw School of Painting (1967-70) and also the Royal Academy Schools (Post Graduate diploma 1970-73), Ann was subsequently elected as a member of The New English Art Club in 1975.
