Our neighbour in knightsbridge

December 14, 2017

We always enjoy meeting our neighbours in both Chelsea and Knightsbridge and to see what might be of interest in the area and pass on our findings.  Recently we were visiting a client in Beauchamp Place, which is known to locals and visitors alike as one of those streets which is full of interesting independent businesses, both long established and more recent and we couldn’t resist popping into Lalage Beaumont that has been at number 58 Beauchamp Place for just five years but is now well-established. It specialises in elegant clothing for work and special occasions. Lalage’s ethos is to keep everything paired down concentrating on beautiful cuts and fabrics.  It has become particularly well known for its chic mother of the bride outfits and wedding guests and also for its much-desired handbags.

Popular with local residents as well as visitors to London, Lalage’s collections are inspired by the smart, clean lines of the early 60s and by the style of the wonderful icons of that era: Jackie ‘O’, Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn to name but a few. Always vibrant in colour, the clothing collections are all made in England.  We received a warm welcome when we dropped in and felt free to browse in a relaxed atmosphere.  Take a look at  www.lalagebeaumont.com or visit the boutique at 58 Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, SW3 1NZ if you are in the area.
